# Move from Crisp to Opskeet

Free on every plan. Start in **Settings → Import & export → Crisp**: do it yourself with the keys below, or pick **Ask your AI agent** for a ready prompt that walks you through it.

## Keys

1. In Crisp, open Settings → “Workspace settings” → “Advanced configuration”. Only a workspace owner can.
2. Under “REST API + MCP Server Tokens”, click “Create Token”. Copy the “API Identifier” and “API Key” now: Crisp shows them once.
3. Already have a token and lost the key? Click “Recreate Token”. Other tools using the old one stop working.
4. Your “Website ID” is in “Workspace settings” → “Setup & Integrations”.
5. Crisp allows 10,000 requests a day, so a big inbox takes a few days. It goes on by itself.

You'll paste: “Website ID”, “API Identifier”, “API Key”.

## What moves

Operators, people with their segments as tags, every conversation with messages, notes and files, and help center folders and articles.

**Doesn't move:** Shortcuts (Crisp has no way to read them: export them as CSV in Crisp and import that), bot scenarios, campaigns and triggers.

## Good to know

- Only the workspace owner can make the API token.
- Crisp allows 10,000 requests a day, so a big inbox takes a few days. The import pauses and goes on by itself.
- Your site's `$crisp.push([...])` calls keep working, including `user:email` with its signature once Crisp's identity verification secret is saved.

## Switch the chat

Replace Crisp's snippet with Opskeet's. Your site's existing calls keep working; move them to [Opskeet's API](https://opskeet.com/docs/install.md) when convenient.

## After it's in

1. Look over a few conversations, then click **Import the rest** if you started with a sample.
2. Forward your support email to your Opskeet address (Settings → Email). In Gmail, choose "Forward a copy" and save; in Microsoft 365, allow automatic forwarding. A redirect rule keeps replies threaded best.
3. Swap the chat snippet (Settings → Import & export → Switch the chat).
4. Publish the imported articles, and point your old help center's domain here.
5. Click **I've switched** once nobody uses the old tool. New activity there keeps coming in until then, as open conversations.

Nothing imported is sent to anyone, and Undo removes what an import brought in. Full guide: [Switch to Opskeet](https://opskeet.com/docs/switch.md).
